MEET OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Hello, I am Aimee Washington-Hart, and I am thrilled to join the Uni Pres Kindercottage team as we work together to support children and families . With over 30 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, I have served as a Director of Head Start, Early Head Start, and Illinois State Board of Education Chicago Public Schools collaborative programs. My Undergraduate work is in Early Childhood Development and my graduate degree is in business management. I am an ITN State Trainer and a PITC Specialist trainer.
Since moving to Southern Illinois in 2016, I have worked with the Light House as a Community System Developer, and served as a Quality Specialist/Infant Toddler Specialist with Children Home and Aid, now known as Brightpoints.
I have two children who are both college graduates and thriving independently. In my free time, I enjoy crafting, gardening, word puzzles, music, singing, organizing events, and traveling. I am an active member of several organizations dedicated to the growth and care of children and families. As an extrovert, I love meeting new challenges and watching others grow professionally. I look forward to meeting each of you as we build a stronger quality program for our thriving families.
